ANALOG DESIGN ENGINEERING INTERN

This is an entry level design position in the analog IC design group at Canesta, reporting to the Analog Design Manager. The group designs our highly integrated and high performance breakthrough 3D Time of Flight image sensor chips using conventional CMOS technology. The position requires direct analog circuit design & simulation, with mentoring and supervision from our senior analog design staff members. The position is suitable for part time work while completing a course of study with blocks of fulltime work during College breaks, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSEE or Equivalent.
  • Ideal for a student pursuing an advanced degree in analog integrated circuit design. Must be available for part time work during the academic year in addition to fulltime work during college vacation.
  • Must have a solid academic track record and have covered courses or projects in:
    • Fundamentals of Analog Integrated Circuit Design
    • Design of Operational Amplifiers, stabilization of feedback networks.
    • Simulation of analog circuits with Spice
    • IC chip layout and layout verification

Additional Desired Experience

  • Data or text manipulation using scripting languages such as Perl.
  • Data analysis and algorithm development using MATLAB
  • Electronics laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, waveform generators, etc.)
  • Design and debug of printed circuit boards
