CHARACTERIZATION ENGINEERING INTERN

This is an entry level development position with the Algorithm & Characterization Team in Canesta, reporting to the Engineering Lead. The group develops image and data analysis algorithms, camera test and characterization software tools for our highly integrated and high performance breakthrough 3D Time of Flight image sensor chips and camera technology. The position requires definition, coding, data collection and analysis, with mentoring and supervision from our senior Algorithm & Characterization Development staff members. The position is suitable for part time work while completing a course of study with blocks of fulltime work during College breaks, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Ideal for a student pursuing an advanced degree in computer science or computer vision. Must be open to part-time work during the academic year in addition to fulltime work during College vacations.
  • Must have a solid academic track record and have covered courses or projects in:
    • Fundamentals of C and C++ software development
    • Use of software development tools for debugging PC-based applications
    • Statistical analysis, data processing, numerical techniques
    • Digital Systems

Additional Desired Experience

  • Experience with software verification and test
  • Experience with digital image sensors, image capture and processing
  • Knowledge of MATLAB for data analysis and image processing
