DIGITAL CHIP ARCHITECT

A leading position in the IC design team in Canesta, reporting to the VP of Engineering. A hands-on position architecting solutions for next generation sensors, requiring direct involvement in the design work, development of methodologies & processes, driving external contractors and leadership of the digital design & verification function.

Job Responsibilities

  • Architect the sensor control logic, data processing engines and communication interfaces
  • Work with the Analog Design group to develop integration strategies, verification flows
  • Build and maintain design, verification and physical implementation methodologies
  • Technical leader of the in-house and offshore implementation team

Minimum Requirements

  • BSEE or Equivalent, MSEE preferred.
  • 8+ years experience in digital IC design using Verilog RTL
  • Experience in each of the following stages in product development
    • System architecture for optimal function, performance and cost
    • Chip architecture and block specification for design implementation
    • Chip and system verification strategies and architecture
    • Design of state machines, data and control interface blocks
    • Design of data processing engines & integration of embedded microcontrollers
    • Design synthesis, defining and meeting timing constraints through the physical design implementation flow
    • Interface with and driving the physical design implementation team

Additional Desired Experience

  • Design for manufacturability, design for test
  • Chip design validation at board / lab. level
  • Image sensor control logic design
  • Logic design, synthesis, verification & validation for FPGA
