This is an entry level development position with the Embedded Software team in Canesta, reporting to the Embedded Software Development Manager. The group develops data and image processing, detailed control and communications software for our highly integrated and high performance breakthrough 3D Time of Flight image sensor chips and camera technology. The position requires direct planning, coding and verification, with mentoring and supervision from our senior software development staff members. The position is suitable for part time work while completing a course of study with blocks of fulltime work during College breaks, etc.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Ideal for a student pursuing an advanced degree in computer science or computer vision. Must be open to part-time work during the academic year in addition to fulltime work during College vacations.
- Must have a solid academic track record and have covered courses or projects in:
- Fundamentals of C and C++ software development
- Digital systems, finite state machines and digital logic
- Design of control and communications modules for microcontroller-based systems
- Use of software development tools for debugging real time embedded systems
Additional Desired Experience
- Experience with software verification and test
- Experience with digital image sensors, image capture and processing
- Knowledge of DirectShow and other PC architectures for video capture, processing and display
