SOFTWARE ENGINEER - CAMERA VALIDATION AND DEVELOPMENT

We are looking for a qualified software engineer to develop an automated 3D camera testing environment to verify the performance of application use cases. Using our 3D camera, your project will verify and quantify the performance of the algorithms that use 3D data for interacting with PC and TV applications, and enabling exciting immersive games. You join an existing team of industry-recognized engineers who have years of experience developing systems to extract information from 3D and color cameras. You develop and execute automated test cases that involve manipulating 3D camera and various targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop an automated computer vision environment for running tests for 3D camera
  • Create and execute black-box and white-box test use cases and publish statistical test data
  • Set up the test environment including the motion control of cameras and targets
  • Identify and track key performance drivers of the camera and the computer vision algorithms for various use cases
  • Monitor, collect, analyze and publish test results
  • Assist in developing formal test quality assurance plans
  • Create end of line (EOL) testing programs
  • Work closely with customers and engineers to resolve software and hardware problems to meet test completion deadlines

Minimum Requirements

  • Solid programming skills with relevant experience in characterization and data analysis.
  • Proficient in using computer languages and libraries including Visual C/C++. Knowledge of Matlab and OpenGL is a plus.
  • Ability to create and execute test scripts and perform statistical analysis of the results
  • Excellent analytical ability and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with manipulating multi-media data is a plus.
  • Theoretical knowledge of computer image processing, 3D graphics and computer vision algorithms is a plus
  • Ability to set up automated test environment including the mechanical control and motion of camera and targets
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • BSEE/CS or equivalent with 2-3 years of experience
