The Technical Program Manager for Consumer Electronics will drive and manage Canesta’s development program to deliver customer solutions according to the customers’ contracts. Primary customer deliverables will include custom semiconductor ASICs and camera reference designs.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage specs, schedules, and budgets for the complete cross-functional program plans
- Partner with development engineering and work through the entire product cycle as the advocate for end-users and customers
- Manage the "whole-product" delivery of Canesta deliverables, not just managing delivery schedules, but ensuring that all deliveries exceed customer expectations
- Prepare and participate in weekly customer status meetings
- Present program status, issues and concerns to Canesta and customer senior management, including weekly status reports
- Create technical documentation and manage details of technical releases
Minimum Requirements
- BSEE/CS, or equivalent (MSEE/CS preferred)
- 5+ years experience in managing programs in the semiconductor, consumer electronics and/or consumer gaming industry
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor ASIC development process, either via hands-on experience or via program management of multiple successful ASIC products
- Detailed knowledge of project planning, budgeting and tracking
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong HW, SW, firmware and/or optics background
- Experience working with offshore contract manufacturers
- Fluent in MS Project, formal project management experience, PMP desired
- Domestic travel required and frequent travel to Asia possible
